Purpose

To provide superior IT support services in a large and complex organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides exceptional customer support for Athletics staff, student athletes, and visitors. Interacts and communicates with peers and customers in a professional manner. (15%)
  • Provides technical support for events hosted by the department including but not limited to internal staff requests, stats, TV, AV, media and other invited parties, and ticketing. Aids in development of IT support policies and procedures for events. (25%)
  • Updates information across several systems, including support issues and inventory management. Triage requests and address as needed. (15%)

Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Big 12 Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. Required Qualifications

High school graduation or GED. One (1) year demonstrated experience in IT customer service and/or help desk environment. One (1) year of experience with hardware and software operations, installation, and troubleshooting. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Effective communications with both technical and non-technical employees. Ability to work as part of a team. _Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate._

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of active directory, imaging tools, and remote support tools. Two (2) or more years of experience with functions listed in required qualifications. Experience supporting and setting up technologies for large events. IT certifications. Familiarity with inventory procedures.

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence.

If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.

Salary Range

$40,000 + depending on qualifications
