    Description
    Telemetry Technician at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (7am-7:30pm, 3, 12 hour shifts per week).


    This is an entry level position and a great way to begin or further your career in healthcare The right candidate would be interested in a fast paced, non-patient facing position within Providence St.

    Vincent Medical Center. In this role you will be responsible for measuring and transmitting data from remote cardiac monitoring sources.

    Candidates must have basic understanding of medical terminology, demonstrate highly reliable communication, basic computer skills, time management, organization, and attention to detail.

    If offered a position, you will be required to obtain an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification before your start date.

    The Tech-Monitor under the supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse, has the responsibility for monitoring, documenting, and reporting the ECG activity of patients on the telemetry unit.

    The position is an important communication link with the RN regarding changes in cardiac rhythms.

    Required qualifications:

    • Coursework/Training: Satisfactory completion of a Medical terminology course. Or equivalent educ/experience
    • Coursework/Training: Completion of a basic ECG course, or completion within 30 days of hire.
    • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
