    PVESC, situated in the heart of Portland, Maine, at the vibrant core of New England, has dedicated over 30 years to serving the community.     As an Emergency Department Veterinarian, you will join our 24-hour a day, 365 day per year emergency center, playing a vital role in providing urgent medical care to patients when they need it most. You will work alongside our experienced team of criticalists, emergency veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to deliver prompt and effective treatment to pets needing emergency care. Your responsibilities will include assessing and diagnosing medical conditions, creating treatment plans, and communicating with pet owners to provide updates and recommendations for ongoing care. Our hospital is equipped with color-flow ultrasounds, endoscopy, digital radiography, a full on-site laboratory, cold laser, PulseVet shockwave, PRP & stem cell therapy, CT scanner, and MRI, in addition to a full array of critical care services and monitoring modalities, including high flow O2 and telemetry.
