Description

The municipal wastewater management department in Indialantic, FL is currently seeking to fill a full-time, permanent position as a Sewage Treatment Plant and Network Employee (m/f/d) as part of a replacement.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

Inspection of the sewer network, including pump and special structures, for functionality, blockages, deposits, and damages
Cleaning and inspection of the sewer network, including pump and special structures, with appropriate protective clothing and equipment, and documentation
Maintenance work on wastewater treatment facilities (machines, pumps, aggregates), including documentation
Maintenance work on vehicles and equipment, including documentation
Operation of necessary equipment for maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, including small combination and highpressure flushing vehicles
Inspection, maintenance, and disposal of central and decentralized property drainage systems
Identification of problematic wastewater dischargers
Monitoring of the sewage treatment plant, conducting control rounds and recording operational data according to the duty schedule, including documentation
Independent troubleshooting in the sewer network and wastewater treatment facilities during oncall duty, including documentation
Oncall duty and weekend service

The following professional qualifications are expected:

Completed vocational training as a specialist in wastewater technology, water supply technology, pipe, sewer and industrial services, industrial mechanic, or maintenance mechanic
Knowledge of DIN standards and DWA regulations
Knowledge of accident prevention regulations, especially DGUV regulation 21 (BGV C 5)
Knowledge of the wastewater disposal regulations, sewage
