Position Overview

The Business Analyst will help design business information systems enhancements and document new systems and processes to improve company work-flow, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness in order to deliver exceptional experiences and outcomes.

This individual will also be expected to maintain knowledge of the business systems and assist in the day-to-day operations and technical needs of the broader organization.

The ideal candidate will be open to working with the energy to execute high-level to lower-level tasks, as needed, and be self-motivated.

Area(s) of Responsibility

Conduct meetings with business users to discuss, refine and record business requirements. Create mock-ups, wireframes, or other design documents.
Based on documented requirements, participate in the technical design of enhancements for Velocity's ERP and related information systems.
Conduct user acceptance testing and review effectiveness of the implemented solutions.

Essential Functions

Gain a deep understanding of business processes and business requirements of the organization.
Facilitate and clarify business requirements and functional design for new or modified applications using IT standard requirement documents, business process flows, and process descriptions.
Maintain detailed and extensive project documentation from inception to post-release stages.
Collaborate to develop test cases and training plans
Assist and conduct user acceptance testing
Work with the business groups to ensure enhancement adoption
Understand business needs and assist in recommending future enhancements
Be proactive in a fast-paced environment
