The New Hope-Solebury School District seeks a dynamic STEAM Coordinator to join our Middle School team In this role, you'll be the driving force behind a district-wide transformation, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation for all students.


Responsibilities:


  • Deliver STEAM instruction through inquiry and projectbased learning methods.
  • Model, facilitate, and integrate technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development to teachers related to the implementation of STEAM, computational science, and inquiry, projectbased curriculum
  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and communication of a shared vision of learning that reflects excellence and equity in STEAM for all students
  • Serve as a resource for faculty and administrators as they seek additional resources, both traditional and electronic, which support the curriculum
  • Demonstrate the skills and attitude of a master teacher and actively engage others in STEAM professional growth opportunities
  • Work with faculty to create and disseminate information to various stakeholders about students' progress and success with STEAM projects
  • Identify opportunities for grants and funds to support STEAM initiatives throughout the school district
  • Investigate and plan for the implementation of district events related to STEAM/science fair and coordinate with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit's STEAM initiatives.

Qualifications:


  • Certification in Tech. Ed, Math, Science, or Art required
  • PA STEM Endorsement highly preferred
  • Supervisory or Principal Certification preferred
  • At least 5 years classroom teaching experience
  • Knowledge of current bestpractice in inquiry and STEM/STEAM education
  • Experience in curriculum development, coaching teachers and/or leading professional development
