Quality Control Technician - Flexible Packaging Group
Job description
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team.
As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through various quality control measures.
This is a vital role in our organization as it directly impacts customer satisfaction and product integrity.Position summary:
Ensure that all internal and external products and materials comply with CDF's quality procedures, work instructions and specifications
Qualifications required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Oversee FPG manufacturing that they are following inprocess inspection procedures and are completing all inprocess inspection sheets
- Perform first piece inspection, fit and leak testing, and inprocess audits (inspections) throughout manufacturing
- Work closely with all FPG team members to quickly resolve any quality issues that may arise at incoming, inprocess, and outgoing locations
- Evaluate internal products and materials, providing evaluation results and documentation to necessary personnel as needed
- Review, followup on control documents. Make sure documents are complete
- Collect samples
- Update QA procedures as needed
- Train employees as needed
- Monitor product sequence to verify that correct product is being run. File completed reports
- Attend training classes/seminars as needed to increase knowledge baseSanitation, HACCP, SQF
- Follow all quality and food safety policies and procedures to ensure CDF products meet all applicable customer, regulatory and industry standards
- Must follow all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as required
Success factors/job competencies:
- Ability to use micrometers and calipers
- Knowledge of first piece, inprocess and final inspection
- Good communication skills, including writing
- Attention to detail
- Ability to be a team player and work well with others
