    Description

    Position:
    Electrical EngineerReports to: Director of EngineeringLocation: Columbus, OH

    Salary Range:
    $70,000 - $90,000We take into consideration a number of factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.
    The Superior Group is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team.

    They will be responsible for supporting senior engineers and engineering managers with engineering design and construction deliverables from concept to completion assigned to them by the Director of Engineering.

    The Engineer will work under the supervision of senior engineering staff.
    Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with production of engineering design deliverables including, BIM models, drawings and specificationsAssist with creating engineering calculations such as heat calculations, pull calculations and power system studiesSupport other TSG teams such as VDC and field operations with QAQC, and review construction documents, writing RFIsAssist with the production of in-house engineered documents such as feeder schedules, means and methods summary documents, QAQC and commissioning templatesAssist senior engineers with providing field observationsYour Character TraitsYou're highly organized, great at prioritization, and have a strong attention to detailYou're a great communicator, a team player, and ready to work with colleagues across our jobsites and organizationYour ExpertiseYou have earned your Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work You have 0-5 years of experience in consulting engineering or electrical construction

    Bonus Points:
    If you have experience in design, construction, and installation of building electrical systems

    Bonus Point:
    If you have experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and other applicable codes and standards

    Bonus points:
    If you have experience in preparing power system studies (Short Circuit, Selective Coordination, Arc Flash)


    Bonus points:
    If you have project experience in mission critical, healthcare, industrial, or commercial sector

    Bonus points:
    You have experience in preparing heat calculations, and MV cable pull calculations
