MDH, John L. Gildner RICA, Rockville, MD

POSITION DUTIES:

The main purpose of this position is to supervise skilled and semi-skilled building and ground maintenance workers.

Per the Amended Directive and Order Regarding Vaccination (MDH # issued by the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Health, effective April 18, 2023, staff in all hospitals and residential facilities operated by the Maryland Department of Health or any local health department are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Staff includes, but is not limited to, regular and contractual employees, contractual staff, volunteers, and other state employees performing any duties at the facility.

An individual may request an accommodation by providing appropriate and sufficient documentation for bona fide medical or religious reasons.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Eighth grade.

Experience:

Four years of experience in the building maintenance or building construction trades including three years of experience assigning, reviewing and approving the work of other building maintenance or building construction workers.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience supervising skilled, semiskilled and unskilled workers of various trades of the building maintenance industry
Experience working in an environment with adolescents with emotional disabilities

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.

Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
