Position Summary:

As a Project Coordinator, you will utilize your expertise and leadership skills in working with utilities, project coordinators, sales, consultants, engineering, manufacturing and operations, and field construction.

You will work closely with multiple departments to ensure accuracy and utility completion according to aggressive schedules. You are responsible for all project utility task deliverables, identifying risks, and closing out utilities as scheduled. You may be asked to travel and stay overnight as needed to meet with utilities onsite.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Attend "kickoff meeting" to gather utility requirements.
  • Identify, coordinate, and manage utility additions or adjustments for construction projects.
  • Coordinate all aspects of utility coordination for construction projects, including identifying, coordinating, and managing utility new service requests.
  • Receive and review utility design and contracts to ensure and establish utility construction scope of work, construction timelines and utility final release.
  • Review customer scope of work to understand the requirements and aggressive schedule with engineering, and field construction.
  • Gather jobsite information by conducting research using tools such as Google Earth, reaching out to utilities, and visiting jobsite as required.
  • Research property and create check lists reach out to utilities, and work with project coordination to gather customer documentations, create a list of requirements and forward them to engineering with the documentations, request that engineering produces an engineering drawing package for utility submittal.
  • Conduct, participate, and follow up on engineering design reviews, production, and field construction related for your projects to ensure all tasks are completed according to schedule.
  • Facilitate gas and electrical utilities establish constructive services request, provide service need, requesting design, communicate aggressive timeline, and ensure services in place prior to job start.
  • Have a strong understanding of business and technical problems that teams are solving and be able to collaborate with external customers and internal teams to prioritize, clarify, and organize work.
  • Monitor and track progress of utility coordination activities and provide regular updates to project teams.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate utility coordination activities into overall project plans and schedules.
  • Mange multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Proven experience in utility coordination for construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of utility coordination processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of four years project management experience preferably constructionrelated industry focusing on customer services, engineering, development, production, budget, risks, resources, and scheduling.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project/Gantt Chart, PDF).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, strong verbal, and written communications for technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license, without any restrictions.
  • Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to coordinate and lead crossfunctional groups to accomplish goals.
  • Ability to manage deliverables during all phases of the project life cycle.

Work Hours:
Standard Monday - Friday; 1st shift (40-hours); hours may fluctuate, based upon customer demand.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period.


Pay:
$70, $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Travel requirement:

  • Up to 25% travel
