Location/Division Specific Information
This role is situated within the Biosciences Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for coordinating the development and execution of **go-to-market strategies** and demand generation plans for a consumables and services portfolio in our Cell Biology business unit.


How You Will Make a Difference?
As a Marketing Manager, you will lead the **marketing strategy** implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your role will involve guiding and executing integrated marketing programs aimed at achieving North American sales, marketing, and revenue targets.


You will be a **project leader** and liaison between internal and external customers, ensuring marketing ideas translate into effective programs that drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and foster market growth in an ever-evolving landscape.


A Day in the Life

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop **digital marketing** and sales enablement plans that foster growth in key channels and customer segments
  • Craft messaging and tools that effectively communicate the **value proposition** to customers through various channels such as sales teams, digital marketing, distributors, and events
  • Meet financial and market objectives for the designated product portfolio, providing detailed analyses and regular reporting on business performance and segmentation
  • Offer **Voice of Customer** and **Voice of Sales** insights to stakeholders for optimal product positioning and strategy
  • Deliver product, positioning, and go-to-market strategy training to direct sales teams on a consistent basis

How Do You Qualify?

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in biology or a related field
  • A Master's degree in life sciences and/or an MBA in marketing or business is desirable

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of marketing experience, focusing on product or portfolio marketing, go-to-market strategy, and execution
  • Proficiency in understanding customer **value proposition** and **demand/lead generation strategies**
  • Experience in marketing planning and strategy, familiarity with life science research markets and competitors
  • Support in lead generation and maintenance efforts with reagent or instrumentation products
  • Ability to collaboratively solve problems of varying scope, influence cross-functional teams, and drive efficient solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong business analytical skills to interpret and address business needs through data analysis
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance to the marketing team and communicate key business metrics effectively to optimize strategies
  • Proactive participation in teams working towards achieving company goals through various operating mechanisms
  • Effective communication of business metrics, standard methodologies, and successes to improve strategies

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this role in Illinois is $93,800.00-$150,000.00. In addition, there is potential for a variable annual bonus based on performance results.
