If you answered yes to the questions above, this may be the position for you The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) is currently searching for a
Meetings Planner.


The Meetings Planner is responsible for assisting with the organization, logistics, and execution of in-person and virtual meetings related to the MATCH Program.

The Meetings Planner will also provide meeting services coordination as needed for the MATCH Program to include, but not limited to, regional meetings, training sessions, peer learning meetings, retreats, program audits/site visits, webinars and other support as developed and assigned.


Additional responsibilities are:

  • In partnership with Director of Meeting Services, create and oversee the development of meeting specifications including session layouts, implementation of all pre, onsite, and postmeeting logístical arrangements, managing meeting room setups, and audio/visual and catering requirements.
  • Work with Content Leadership Groups and MATCH leadership to provide support for program audits and site visits as needed. This includes but is not limited to travel arrangements and agenda planning.
  • Manage travel accommodations, food and beverage needs, agendas, and coordinating meeting facility logistics for MATCH team and partner organizations.
  • Assume responsibility for budgeting and reconciliation of events per guidelines of program proposal.
  • Travel to and provide onsite staff support for the various MATCH grant meetings, and other educational events as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 34+ years of meeting planning experience required.
  • College degree required; CMP designation or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Prior relative experience in meeting and/or event department preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management experience required.
