Description

We, the GKV-Spitzenverband, represent the health and long-term care funds and therefore also the interests of 73 million insured and contributors at the federal level towards politics and service providers, such as doctors and pharmacists or hospitals. As GKV-Spitzenverband, we take on all non-competitive tasks in health and long-term care insurance at the federal level.

The Digital Hub department deals with all strategic and conceptual issues related to digitization in the healthcare sector. In this respect, it serves as the interface to the internal specialist departments and our member funds. The goal is to incorporate digital strategies into the implementation of existing and new legal tasks of the GKV-Spitzenverband and to shape the framework within which statutory health insurance funds can offer optimal digital services and care processes for the insured. Topics such as telematics applications, digital infrastructure, digital administration, health data usage, and artificial intelligence are further focal points of the work.
