Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team.
As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to implement behavior intervention plans and provide support in various settings.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with ASD.Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Collect and analyze data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Provide direct support to individuals with ASD in various settings, such as homes, schools, or clinics
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills
- Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavior change
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in treatment approach
- Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of client progress and interventions
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical records and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Familiarity with care plans and ability to implement them effectively
- Understanding of special education principles and practices
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to autism spectrum disorder
- Ability to assist individuals with inhalation medications as needed
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and ability to provide support as required
- Strong analytical skills to assess client behavior and progress
- Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities preferred
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors using evidencebased strategies
Note:
All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Pay:
$ $25.18 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
