The
Packaging Supervisor is responsible for managing a small group of employees (under 10) tasked with coating and packaging Fromm Family Foods treats.

The position will ensure that all production is met in a timely fashion, following all established protocols and completing all necessary documentation.

General knowledge of mechanical equipment, specifically knowledge of small bag packaging equipment, batch coaters, liquid pumps, and food safety procedures is preferred.

All tasks shall be performed in a safe, accurate and timely manner with attention to detail as it relates to quality.

• Managing 3-5 employees to ensure treats are coated and packaged properly and timely.
• Ensuring all SOPs & GMPs are followed and documented, when necessary.
• Inventorying and lot tracing of ingredients/finished products.
• Enforcing any HACCP and Food Safety plans.
• Assisting, as needed, any maintenance/repairs for coating/packaging machines.
• Coordinating receiving/shipping of ingredients/finished product.
• Ensuring a clean and safe workplace is maintained at all times.
• Observe and suggest ideas for continuous improvement as it relates to treat production.
• Abide by all safety rules and company policies (certified in lockout/tagout, equip operation, forklift operation).

• Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed, from floor level (up to 48"). Frequency varies by task.
• Bend, Push/Pull, Squat, Reach, Grip, Grab, Hold various products, packaging and tools
• Perform repetitive motions for assigned task.
• Stand for duration of shift (other than departmental approved breaks).
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs. Able to work at elevated levels safely.
• Basic computer knowledge along with using Microsoft Office programs.
• Able to work in environment containing dust and potential allergens, and smells.
• Able to perform basic visual requirements, read small print and differentiate colors.
• Understand and communicate basic verbal and written instructions and respond to questions.
• Able to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, plus overtime to meet department goals.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, and ability and knowledge to use tools and equipment.
