- Support Head of Structured Investments Group for sourcing and underwriting new investments.
- Monitor existing investment holdings by performing regular financial and qualitative reviews to detect changes in credit quality in order to minimize losses.
- Work closely with the Structured Credit lead manager and portfolio management group so that investment commitments meet portfolio requirements/guidelines.
- Support in managing troubled and watch list assets and recommending sales as appropriate to reduce possible losses.
- Present transactions to Investment Review Committee.
- Work closely with internal and external legal counsel to document commitments and related maintenance documents.
- Ensure that all investment commitments are within established investment guidelines.
- Generate investment trade ideas for Structured Credit
- Meet all internal and external reporting requirements as mandated by management.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as required by management.
- Must maintain appropriate attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Experience in structured securities, particularly CLOs, private credit and other ABS
- Confidence in making buy/sell recommendations with logical support and documentation
- Bachelor or master's degree in business administration preferred. CFA designation a plus
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
- Proficient with computer software programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Proficient in transaction monitoring/modeling systems including Intex and others
- Comfortable dealing with people with a wide range of backgrounds (ie. From sophisticated CEOs, CFOs at due diligence meetings to relatively unsophisticated staff members)
