Park Hospitality is looking for a General Manager for Bar Flores

We are a small, growing group of neighborhood bars and restaurants with a strong sense of community and hospitality.

Our first venue, Wolf and Crane, is a Japanese whisky and cocktail bar in Little Tokyo that just celebrated its 10-year anniversary.

On Sunset in the heart of Echo Park, we operate Bar Flores, a female-centered and latin inspired cocktail bar, Lowboy, a neighborhood bar with everything you could want, easy atmosphere, good drinks, and delicious smash burgers, and most recently, Donna's, an East-coast inspired, Italian red-sauce joint that feels like a nightly dinner party.

In all of our venues we strive to create comfortable spaces where our guests feel at home.

We are looking for an experienced manager to oversee operations and lead our team at Bar Flores.

The General Manager is responsible for managing the team, employee training and development, management of inventory and cost of goods, and ensuring that all aspects of operation comply with applicable company policies.

You will be held responsible for the financial health of the venue, the successful execution of service, and providing a great service experience for our guests.


Responsibilities:


  • Build passion and loyalty towards company culture and goals.
  • Provide a great guest experience and ensure execution of our product to the highest level.
  • Create and manage systems to achieve consistently high operating standards.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, and appearance of facility.
  • Oversee employee recruitment, training, and development, including: managing performance evaluations, following disciplinary action procedures, employee relations, and benefits.
  • Prepare weekly employee schedules, with an eye towards appropriate staffing levels and labor cost targets.
  • Manage beverage program through product ordering, management of inventory and pars, and development of relationships with beverage reps and brands.
  • Oversee nightly services and follow closing and cash handling procedures.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Director of Operations and monthly Operations meetings
  • Manage venue programming of DJs and bands.
  • Work alongside the Beverage Director to create and launch new cocktail programs.
  • Foster a positive, productive, and welcoming work environment.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements.
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to be extremely active for long periods of time, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout an entire shift.
  • Ability to lift and easily maneuver heavy objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.

  • Effective directing, coaching, supporting, delegating, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to promote accountability and manage staff with varying skill sets
  • Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities and take initiative to convert meaningful data into action
  • Strategic thinking and ability to anticipate future business needs
  • Self organization, time management, and effective prioritization
  • High level of integrity and honesty
  • Prior management experience required.
Full Time Compensation
- $85, ,000 +Bonus
