Description

The primary responsibility of a District Manager is to lead operations of the stores in their individual district and ensure that each store provides Tiff's Treats delivery of the Top Five as well as deliver company metrics.

A District Manager (DM) is responsible for the success of their district and is ultimately responsible for the operations, inventory management, coaching, leadership, and general project and task coordination of all district locations.

This includes managing each Store Manager within the district, daily decision-making, store team support, customer education, Tiff's Treatment, labor management, people management and running store operations.

This is a full-time, exempt-level salaried position.


The DM's direct supervisor will be the Director of Operations the DM will be the top-level leader within their district and will provide support to stores and Store Managers/Assistant Managers as needed (including emergencies nights, weekdays, or weekends) to ensure operational excellence in their district.

The DM will regularly work with, coordinate with, or answer to other level members of the Tiff's Treats team.

The DM will notice patterns, create solutions, and propose those solutions to their Director of Operations for approval.

The DM is to catch and correct, coach, follow-through, Praise, and otherwise practice team development and "productive paranoia" on a daily basis.


The DM is to be a visible member of Tiff's Treats Management.

Visibility includes, but is not limited to:


  • A goal of at least weekly appearance in each location to coach, catch and correct, support, or simply help out.
  • Conduct at least 2 CHIP visits per week
  • Complete all ASANA tasks

Smooth operations of all locations within the district includes, but is not limited to:

  • Promoting strong leadership of management team
  • Building relationships with staff at all levels
  • Encouraging growth from within to build team depth
  • DM will be developing all SMs
  • Develop SM to train and develop ODMS and SM as well as create a bench for future positions
  • Overseeing, the certifications and developing of all staff from day one to the highest level
  • Providing coaching on and follow up on creation of the weekly schedules to comply with seasonal needs and labor guides
  • Develop solutionoriented Store managers with full ownership and thinking outside the box driving creative thinking as we adapt and grow
  • Provide guidance SMs' to achieve ideal size store rosters, add hiring requests keeping growth and development
  • Oversee process through productive paranoia and serve as liaison between HR and SMs
  • Coach SM on proper inventory ordering setting and teaching par levels as well as waste control.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing overall operational performance of all stores within their district
  • Managing performance of all Store Managers within their district (DMs also have ultimate responsibility for the ASMs and ODMs within their district)
  • Training and development of management team for the district
  • Delivering quarterly performance reviews to Store Managers
  • Approving weekly schedule completion and accuracy
  • Ensure CHIP visits are provided to every store on regular bases

  • Time Tracker To Do
  • Ordering district level items
  • ESQ Management / 15Five
  • Preparing for holidays
