    **Department Summary & Job Purpose:**

    The driver will assist with College event transportation as well as student shuttles within the area and athletic event transportation.

    **Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:**

    JOB PURPOSE: The Part Time On-Call Driver is scheduled to drive college-owned vehicles including its 7, 12, and 28 passenger vans for college-sponsored events and activities on an as need basis. This position reports to the Fleet Coordinator, Fleet Services. CORE

    RESPONSIBILITIES: * Drive college-owned vehicles for college-sponsored activities both on and off-campus as scheduled. This may include but is not limited to acting as the back-up for campus mail delivery or access ride vehicle, admissions transportation, or off-campus trips.

    Position may require occasional overnight trips

    Performs other duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * 3-5 years of similar driving experience

    Valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts Drivers license

    Valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts CDL License

    Excellent driving record

    Must drive with care and superior judgment

    Must be professional at all times and maintain excellent customer service

    Must be able to travel for overnight trips

    Must be able to successfully complete the Colleges driver credentialing program

    Must provide a copy of RMV driving record

    **Qualifications:**

    3-5 years of similar driving experience

    Valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts Drivers license

    Excellent driving record

    Must drive with care and superior judgment

    Must be professional at all times and maintain excellent customer service

    Must be able to travel for overnight trips

    Must be able to successfully complete the Colleges driver credentialing program

    **Physical Demands:**

    Essential job function requires sitting (driving) for long periods of time.

    Essential job function requires operation of foot and/or hand controls.

    Occasionally twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 25 pounds.

    Work is normally performed driving a vehicle.
