The
Digital Technology Services (DTS) Associate Business Analyst (BA) is the link between the business objectives and core technological capabilities the team is building across the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) network.

An agile team requires constant adaptation and innovation to turn customer needs into outputs. The goal is to drive organized and effective requirements to build the product. Responsible for utilizing creative and practical thinking to translate requirements into direct improvements.

Also responsible for ensuring the team knows and understands what they are expected to build through a backlog and user stories and how it connects to overall objectives.

Team's source for business logic, requirements, analysis, testing features once ready, etc.


Responsibilities:

A day in the life of an Associate Business Anaylst at
Hackensack Meridian _Health_** includes:

  • Assist in collecting, validating, and analyzing data to create insightful reports for decision-making.
  • Support the development and maintenance of data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in planning, monitoring, and managing internal projects from initiation through completion.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives related to innovation and data/product commercialization.
  • Provide analytical support to identify opportunities for new datadriven products or enhancements to existing products.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and nontechnical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of data and project status.
  • Prepare and present business insights and findings effectively to the leadership team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Data & Analytics Division and propose actionable solutions.
  • Assist in implementing new processes and ensuring adherence across the division.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to inform data product development and commercialization strategies.
  • Ensure that all activities adhere to relevant legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity and compliance by working to establish and maintain data governance practices.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 02 years of experience in a business analyst role, preferably within a healthcare or data analytics setting.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into comprehensible insights.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Knowledge of healthcare data and regulatory environments.
  • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools.
