    General Description:
    Serve as an extension of the sales and operations team. Support business units focused on Healthcare Reform, Medicare, and compliance. Includes ACA Individual, MediGap, MAPD, and PD. Develop training program and content to educate Brokers and internal partners.


    Responsibilities:
    Serve as subject matter expert on Centers for Medicare (CMS) and Medicaid Services issues. Includes issues that relate to the sale and support of CMS regulated products.

    Review and edit articles, alerts, and other materials for publication/distribution to clients.

    Monitor and identify legal developments. Includes statutes, regulations, case law, and legal articles affecting employee benefit plans.

    Maintain and update compliance library resources. Includes validating information is up-to date.

    Review, analyze, and evaluate regulations impacting sales of brokers and direct team.

    Educate internal staff, brokers, and clients on Health Care Reform and trends in the health industry.

    Develop and maintain marketing tools. Improve communication and education of Medicare and Individual products to brokers.

    Identify opportunities for program improvement and recommend initiatives to improve.

    Develop and maintain internal compliance training. Partner with carriers, CMS, and Field Marketing Organization (FMO) partners.

    Serve as the reporting compliance coordinator with VP Benefits Council and Market Leader.

    Ensure preparation is complete for all Medicare/Individual Carrier, State or CMS audits.

    Develop and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with CMS guidelines.

    Coordinate internal training for all Emerson Rogers and MBA Medicare employees.

    Respond to Request for Proposal (RFP) requests.

    Stay current on industry information, regulations, technology, and trends.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    5 years + of health insurance experience. Experience in Medicare or Individual preferred.

    Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Accident & Health license required or ability to obtain within three months of hire.

    CMS Medicare Certifications required or ability to obtain prior to the next Open Enrollment period.

    Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.

    Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.

    Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    Ability to understand, interpret, and convey technical information to others. Includes ability to interpret Health Care Reform related data.

    Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
