About the Location

Hybrid Position:

This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart's FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity.

Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs.

Site Merchandiser


Responsible for building category specific strategies, flawless execution of digital experiences across the entire funnel, ongoing maintenance, and driving site KPIs.

Stretch projects will be assigned as aligned upon with manager based on developmental focuses and career interests of individual, as well as business needs.


Customer Journey | _Drive visits, clarity, clicks, and conversion across the site, while reducing exit rates_

  • Owners of category specific experiences with the intent of optimizing the digital path from entry/exit & Cart, learning & utilizing analytics, developing functional expertise, and building cross functional partnerships_

Strategy

  • Actively provide insights, ideas, and feedback for Annual and Quarterly strategies for area of ownership
  • Prioritize execution of workload driven by these strategies
  • Drive proposed shifts based on real time results
  • Develop, drive, and execute against strategies for projects as assigned

Findability

  • Partner with Merch and IT to ensure consistent item attribute set up, as well as elevate new capability asks
  • Partner with Merchandising and Marketing while bringing digital category expertise to the table.
  • Manage and maintain pages for uptodate assortment and content.
  • Own page and search optimization by leveraging third party tools, search data, and round table partnership (as relevant for pages owned)
  • Partner with SEO third party provider(overdrive) to edit/enhance page/content optimization.
  • Create strategies for linking and execute against them in conjunction with Site Merch and Marketing activations.

Basket Building & Testing

  • Leverage data, competitive analysis, and cross category partnerships to implement strategies to grow basket size.
  • Partner with Manager and A/B testing team to develop and implement tests (i.e., personalization) to later turn into tactics

Content (Non-Taxo - Shops, Brand, etc.) | _Digitize key enterprise strategies with custom built pages and content to drive conversion and demand_

  • Own the detailed endtoend process for priority intake, linking, content, and performance tracking for key experiences_

Strategy

  • Actively provide insights, ideas, and feedback for Annual and Quarterly strategies led by Manager

Content Planning & Execution

  • Manage and evolve necessary priority intake processes and relationships
  • Create strategies for linking and execute against them in conjunction with Site Merch and Marketing activations
  • Prioritize items to be featured with relevant cross functional teams, ensuring alignment between partners and inventory health
  • Own content authoring in Contentful
  • QA pages to drive a flawless launch
  • Maintain pages throughout life, inclusive of evergreen experiences

Data & Analytics | _Leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to drive site KPIs throughout the customer journey_

  • Understand, track, and act upon metrics which elevate successes and opportunities within your area of ownership_

Performance Recapping & Troubleshooting - Category/Content Level

  • Recap and share key updates on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis (cadence dependent upon business or activation)
  • Leverage reporting templates, ad hoc reports, and cross functional discussions to ensure consistent understanding of how the business (or experience) performed against relevant comps
  • Understand trends and act upon insights to take advantage of velocity or mitigate risk
  • Prioritize actions for your business based on data insights

Competitive Insights Tracking

  • Actively research, provide insights, and elevate recommended actions based on competitive shopping prioritized based on unique category needs
