The Technische Universität Ilmenau (Germany) has a vacancy for 12 full-time doctoral research fellowships (f/m/d) at the "Ilmenau School of Green Electronics (ISGE)", funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation.

The ISGE focuses on sustainable information technology and the research projects will explore the interfaces between bio-inspired microelectronics, intelligent materials, devices and technologies, and energy-efficient computing.

The projects will cover topics such as reservoir computing, neuromorphic computing, low energy data analytics, and greener microtechnologies.

Your responsibilities will include promoting interdisciplinary research and strengthening the research focus of Green Electronics at the Technische Universität Ilmenau.

The ISGE offers a creative and dynamic research environment with excellent laboratory facilities, comprehensive supervision and study programs, and participation in an international scientific network.

The coordinated doctorates are expected to be completed within three years, with the fourth year dedicated to developing an academic career track.

Requirements:

Excellent Diploma or Master's degree in a related field such as electrical engineering, materials science, computer science and engineering, physics, chemistry, biotechnology, bioengineering, microand nanotechnology, mechanical or optical engineering.
Independent, critical, and responsible thinking and working.
Ability to communicate and work in an interdisciplinary team.
