Shaner Hotels has an amazing opportunity at our 88-room Fairfield Inn & Suites located in Towanda, PA Located off historic Route 6 along the Endless Mountain Region, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Towanda Wysox is an 88-room hotel offering an indoor pool, complimentary hot breakfasts every morning and 1,500 square feet of event space.

Our convenient location offers guests convenient access to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, French Azilum Historic Site, Mount Pisgah State Park, and Bradford County Historical Society.

  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
  • Observes all house and safety rules, food handling procedures, and security procedures.
  • Assist with inventories as scheduled.
  • Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
Welcome, greet and interact with guests in the breakfast and lobby area.

Responsible for the setup, service, maintenance, and breakdown of the breakfast bar line; prepare specified food items at the breakfast bar, replenishing food and assist in serving food from the breakfast bar line to the guests, courteously and efficiently in accordance with departmental quality standards and specifications.


Qualifications

  • Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and coworkers to their understanding.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
  • Food safety certification preferred.

General Responsibilities:

Responsible for the setup, service, maintenance and breakdown of the breakfast bar line; prepare specified food items at the breakfast bar, replenishing food and assist in serving food from the breakfast bar line to the guests, if needed, courteously and efficiently in accordance with departmental quality standards and specifications.

Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production in the designated outlets in accordance with standards.

Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment


Qualifications (Essential):

  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, coworkers and management to their understanding.
  • Ability to provide legible communication.
  • Ability to do basic arithmetic.

Qualifications (Desired):

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Sanitation certificate.
  • Familiarity with proper sanitation regulations.
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
