- Provide the full range of evidenced-based screening, assessment, psychosocial & behavioral interventions for a variety of patients, with a primary focus on providing family therapy and couples counseling.

- Consult and collaborate with interprofessional team members to develop intervention strategies related to mental health, physical and psychosocial challenges.
- Actively participate in treatment and follow-up planning for individuals, couples, and families.
- Refer patients to collaborating colleagues across disciplines, departments, and communities as appropriate.
- Chart patient visits using an electronic medical record.
- Participate in Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic quality and performance assessment projects.
- Develop, provide administrative oversight, and evaluate the Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic Couples and Family Therapy Clinical Service.
- Triage and refer couples and families who may be appropriate for the Couples and Family Therapy Service.
- Couples and family therapy curriculum development, implementation and evaluation for the Couples and Family Education and Training Program
- Provide couples and family therapy education to Psychiatry residents and fellows, Psychology externs, interns, and post-doctoral fellows as well as Social Work fellows.
- Develop training goals and evaluate the Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic Couples and Family Education and Training Program.
- Provide annual reports on the Couples and Family Therapy Service and the Training Program.

- Experience in quality assurance, research, manuscript prepration, or other scholarly activity.
- Training and experience in couples and family therapy.
- Experience overseeing a couples and family therapy clinical service program.
- Experience in curriculum development, teaching and supervision in couples and family therapy to trainees across behavioral health disciplines.
- Understanding of the biomedical, psychological, and social factors impacting couples and families seeking treatment.
- Experience on interprofessional teams in specialty medical or mental health settings that promotes an inclusive environment.
- Experience related to the impact of trauma, substance abuse and social determinants related to health, complex physical conditions, mental health and recovery.
- For Psychologists, Board certified with ABPP or willingness to seek board certification in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or couples and family psychology.
- Interest in collaborating in research or quality improvement initiatives Adult Division Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team model and with diverse colleagues, medical specialists, and trainees across disciplines.

Department of Psychiatry has an opening for a part-time Faculty (unclassified) Couples and Family Therapist and Education position.
The Department of Psychiatry's Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic offers state-of-the-art clinical services, treating all major psychiatric conditions in patients of all ages.
Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, care coordinators, and others holds a holistic perspective on the social and cultural factors that impact physical and psychological well-being in our patients lives outside of the clinical setting.
The clinic is a safe, equitable, and inclusive space that fosters community and connection as we seek to eradicate suffering due to mental and physical illness and health inequities.
Services offered in the General Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic include psychiatric medication evaluation and management, individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy, care coordination, and psychological testing.
The couples and family therapist and educator recruited for this full-time position may be trained as a Psychologist (PhD/PsyD), Social Worker (LCSW/PhD/DSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Practical Counselor (LPC), and will be part of the Department of Psychiatry's growing and dynamic Adult Division.
This is an open rank faculty position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Clinical Service
