Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team. As a Residential Counselor, you will provide support and care for individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and ensure the safety of residents
• Monitor and document changes in residents' behavior, health, and overall wellbeing
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
• Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity and privacy are respected

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in caregiving or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
• Knowledge of dementia care, memory care, and behavior management techniques is a plus
• Ability to perform vital signs monitoring and basic first aid procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in caregiving or related fields are a plus

Pay:
$ $14.36 per hour
