- Evaluate MOT issues including pedestrian ingress/egress ways and ADA accessibility, vehicular traffic ingress/egress, turn lane design including curb and gutter, paved shoulder, marking, and signing plans, maintenance of traffic plans, and asphalt pavement mix designs
- Review applicability of city and county code requirements for roadways, pathways, and waterways
- Investigations may include soil-related issues, landslides, erosion control, retaining walls, earthwork grading, and stormwater runoff.
- Conduct unbiased investigations for various types of clients
- Responsible for retention and development of client relations
- Prepare oral and written reports in layman's terms that document causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation
- Deliver professional presentations, develop client relationships, and promote self to client groups
- Ability to support conclusions by appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedings
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years of post-academic civil maintenance of traffic experience
- Roadway design and construction experience; maintenance of traffic experience
- Academic and post-academic geotechnical experience a plus
- P. E. registration required through testing
- Must possess strong writing skills
- Public speaking experience a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
