    Match Charter Public School is a reputable charter public school located in Boston, that offers quality education from PreK to 12th grade to approximately 1,250 students. The school's main goal is to equip students with the necessary skills for their academic and career success, aiming to attain financial stability and advancement. Admission to the school is determined through an annual public lottery that is open to all Boston residents.

    OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The advertised role is situated at 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park. The working hours for this position are from 7:00 AM to 2:45 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with extended hours until 4:30 PM on Wednesdays. Compensation offered is $25.24 per hour, with the possibility of a higher rate for candidates with relevant prior experience. Match actively encourages and supports paraprofessionals and aides interested in advancing to lead teaching positions or other educational roles within the school.

    Key responsibilities of Building Based Educators include:

    • Providing classroom instruction or assistance in various grade levels and subject areas within Match classrooms as a substitute for teachers and other staff;
    • Supporting school programs and student supervision during non-instructional periods;
    • Setting and maintaining high academic and behavioral standards for students while offering substantial support to help them achieve those standards;
    • Engaging actively in Match's coaching and professional development initiatives; and
    • Fostering a positive and collaborative environment within the Match Charter Public School community.
