Join our leading Neuroscience Specialty Care unit, a 36-bed floor consisting of 18 intermediate care and 18 general neuroscience beds housed in the Rosenberg Building. BIDMC Boston is a globally recognized medical center renowned for its expertise in treating neurovascular diseases, as an accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center, and as a member of The Brain Aneurysm Institute.
As a Clinical Nurse II, you will participate in an innovative orientation program focused on enhancing Neuroscience nursing skills and confidence through a structured, evidence-based curriculum. Our patient population encompasses individuals with post-operative neurosurgery, stroke, neuromuscular disorders, traumatic brain injury, neuro-oncology, and epilepsy. Your onboarding will not only improve Neuroscience nursing proficiency but also equip you with specialized skills to care for our intermediate care patients who require enhanced monitoring, post-thrombectomy and TPA patients, management of external ventriculostomy drains, and initiation of certain vasoactive infusions.
Fostering a dynamic team environment and collaborating to address intricate patient needs with our unit-based educators, clinical nurse specialists, rehabilitative support staff, and physician providers are crucial to our success. We are currently presenting a $12,000.00 sign-on bonus for this full-time position.
Important Details:
• To be eligible for the sign-on bonus, you must be a new hire to the BILH system or a former employee who left in good standing and is returning to BILH after a one-year gap.
• At BIDMC, full-time status entails schedules of 30 hours per week or more; part-time status ranges from 20 to 29 hours per week. Please note, per diem employees do not qualify for sign-on bonuses.
