The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking applicants for a 3-year apprenticeship starting on September 1st, 2024 at our Cottbus location with the DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH.

The vocational school is located in Fürstenwalde (Spree) and the training workshop is in Großräschen at the HWK Cottbus. In the third year of your apprenticeship, you will complete your practical training at the DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltungswerk in Nuremberg. Accommodation and travel expenses will be covered by the DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH.

What to expect during your apprenticeship:

  • Become a professional in vehicle design
  • Work on and design surfaces of vehicles
  • Proper handling of brushes, rollers, spray guns, stencils, and films
  • Learn how to remove dents, rust, and properly prime, paint, and polish
  • Assembly and disassembly of vehicle components

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed (or soon to be completed) school
  • Enjoy math and chemistry
  • Strong manual dexterity
  • Team player and always willing to help
  • Dedicated and meticulous work ethic
