SUMMARY:


Oversees and directs the operations of the different Outlets such as Restaurant, Room Service, Club Lounge, Beverage Bars and Coffee Bar to ensure that the operation and growth of all outlets is effective and profitable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Schedule shifts, assign tasks, order supplies and maintain inventory records.
  • Prepare Reports needed for Accounting, Payroll, etc.
  • Establishes and monitors standards for all Outlets but not limited to administration but also to customers/guests, advertising and publicity.
  • Ensure and establishes that all revenue management techniques are maximized; reviews and analyzes financial performance as well.
  • Develops and monitors budget and oversees all accounting functions for all the outlets.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast and slow paced time.
  • Ensure guests are being assisted in a prompt manner and their requests are met in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Ensures that the overall condition of Dining Room, Bars and Club Lounge are up to par and rectified if needed.
  • Establishes par levels for supplies and equipment as directed by ownership and franchise.
  • Possesses and maintains through understanding of industry and stays current of industry trends.
  • Ensures all food and beverage operations are in compliance with all legislated health and licensing guidelines; ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Review daily occupancy reports.
  • Ensure all work stations are up to par
  • Must be able to maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Must solve customer requests, issues and concerns.
  • Monitor and supervise the flow of every Outlet and assist with guests as needed.
  • Monitor quality of service.
  • Be visible on every area of the Outlets and assist staff as needed especially during peak hours.
  • Ensure proper training is being done by the Asst. Mgrs. with new employees.
  • Understand, implement and monitor all promotions in outlets.
  • Ensure effective communication with personnel and management between shifts.
  • Promotes hotel food outlets, entertainment and hotel in general
  • Must be able to maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times while all encounters are always attentive and courteous.
  • Attends department meetings when scheduled.
  • Must work weekends and holidays during peak season.
  • Ensure prompt service, quality beverages and products are followed.
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual
  • Anticipates customer and restaurant needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for clues.
  • Contributes to positive team environment.
  • Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team identifying problems areas and taking corrective action.
  • Ensure fellow workers follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have experience working in a Union Shop environment. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to learn quickly, to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed. Have strong interpersonal skills, to work as part of a team and ability to build professional relationships.


EDUCATION


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS


Ability to clearly and precisely relay information about hotel and outlets to guests in English, both written and verbal form.

Ability to read and understand requests from different departments and guests.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of currency and weight measurement, volume and distance.
