    The Industrial Engineer is responsible for all process related activities within the warehouse, manufacturing and office to ensure proper processes and optimization of the business.

    This also includes implementation of new or changed process requirements, new technical equipment, and optimization for proper utilization of space, equipment and manpower.


    Key responsibilities include:
    design and improvement of processes (warehouse, office, facility and equipment utilization and maintenance) utilizing the

    principles/methods/tools

    of Industrial Engineering and Lean-Six Sigma. Provide leadership and guidance to entry level engineers.


    Estimated Salary :
    $75,000 to $90,000 per year based on qualifications and experience.


    Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, and responsibilities.


    What you'll do:
    Provide support to the implementation of WASH Continuous Improvement framework in all areas of the operation.

    Utilize the principles, methods and tools of Lean-Six Sigma identify areas for time and cost savings, lead improvement projects and implement solutions.

    Develop baselines and track over-all savings
    Analyze appropriateness of current technology and make equipment recommendations using ROI analysis
    Develop process flow and vsm analyses to capture current operations and identify process improvements.
    Conduct manpower studies to identify true staffing needs.
    Participate and lead continuous process improvement efforts for specific functions.
    Review storage utilization and suggest re-layouts.
    Review labor performance, reporting methods, systems and procedures.
    Produce and maintain facility layouts to allow for a detailed engineering analysis.
    Provide guidance to entry level Engineers
    Coordination with management, suppliers, contractors concerning procedures, purchases and specifications

    What we're looking for:


    Bachelor's Degree in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred with emphasis in Manufacturing / Production Operations (or equivalent).

    MS/MBA a plus. Emphasis in Production Operations Management a plus
    Proven work experience as an Industrial Engineer or similar role. LEAN-Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt industry accepted certifications
    3 plus years relevant work experience

    Experience with:
    (1) LEAN-Six Sigma and related methodologies; (2) Process management and measurement (SPC, Cpk, etc.) a plus; (3) Facility and operations design including automation of operations and incorporation of appropriate MHE; (4) Production and resource requirements planning in either warehousing and/or manufacturing operations; (5) Work measurement methodologies and tools (MOST, MTM, etc); (6) Warehouse management, inventory management, MES, etc. systems; (7) Business Objects is a plus
    Proficiency with MS Office suite
    Excellent written/oral communication skills as wells as presentation and team facilitation skills
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Working Environment:
    Office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment
