General Description

Oversee nursing programs at the Brien Center, in conjunction with division directors and other staff.

Essential Job Functions

Nursing:
Supervise and/or manage nursing services for divisions and programs
Meet regularly with nurse managers and other direct reports
Offer additional support when nurse manager positions are vacant
Supervise management of MAP (Medication Administration Program)
Review caseloads when necessary to ensure that medical and clinical needs are being met
Interview nursing applicants, make hiring recommendations and monitor training of new nurses
Collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure quality of care
Supervise the inventory of medical supplies
Establish positive relationships with nursing schools and other community organizations
Coordinate the psychiatric orientation of nursing students in the area when requested

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing, Master's degree preferred
Registered Nurse with current licensure in Massachusetts
Minimum of three years experience in nursing or healthcare
Experience in performing oversight activities or quality assurance
Experience and/or training related to compliance
A track record of producing work that is highly accurate and demonstrates attention to detail
Computer experience should include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at the intermediate level, at a minimum

Maintain ethical and professional standards
Demonstrate a commitment to the Agency's mission and community mental health principles
Driver's license check (RMV)
Criminal Offender Record Information Check (CORI)
Meets all credentialing requirements
