NOTE:
this position will work in our corporate office one to two days per week.


Responsibilities:

The
Treasury Assistant is responsible for day-to-day cash management duties for the TDS family of companies.

Accountable for recommending and executing the daily cash position activity, initiating ACH and wire transfers, monitoring and resolving department mailbox inquiries relating to banking and cash management issues, depositing checks, maintaining banking records with financial institutions and assisting with projects as assigned.


General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Daily Liquidity Management:


  • Ensures that there is sufficient daily liquidity in the operating bank accounts for the TDS family of companies.
  • Understands SAP Treasury cash position and its functional drivers.
  • Recommends cash position activity in compliance with company policy.
  • Responsible for execution of approved investment trades in SAP Treasury.
  • Executes approved money markets fund trades and wire transfers to ensure liquidity for company operations.

Cash Management Processes:


  • Reviews and accurately executes wire and ACH transfer requests in compliance with company policy. (SOX key control)
  • Reviews and reports stock repurchase activity to senior management including execution of wire transfers and DWAC of share with brokerage firms.
  • Researches and decisions positive pay exceptions for checks that are presented for payment.
  • Reviews bank and service provider analysis statements and invoices for accuracy before submitting for payment.
  • Resolves banking and cash management related issues.
  • Maintains banking records including banking resolutions, incumbency certificates, signature cards, and required documentation to open and close bank accounts.
  • Completes quarterly SOX testing for cash management function.
  • Responds to routine inquiries from internal and external auditors such as providing bank statements, audit confirmations and SOX testing.
  • Provides assistance and issue resolution to U.S. Cellular retail stores as needed to coordinate new stores/store moves, check scanning equipment, armored car services and deposit supplies.
  • Assists with opening and closing of new investment accounts.
  • Monitors cash investments and prepares monthly yield reporting.

Supports Capital Markets Activities:


  • Completes quarterly SOX testing for public debt, credit agreement and securitization controls
  • Assists with securitization monthly reporting requirements
  • Assists with preparing quarterly liquidity and obligation forecasts

Recurring Duties:


  • Provides support to Administrative Assistant relating to check deposits, analysis statements, TRECS upload, safekeeping of assets as needed.
  • Metrics and performance reporting.
  • Maintains SharePoint site.
  • Performs other duties and assists with project work as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:


  • Associate's degree OR equivalent combination of technical and functional experience.
  • 1+ years' work experience; treasury, accounting and/or finance experience a plus

Other Qualifications:


  • Experience using Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience with SAP a strong plus.
  • High level of attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and team collaboration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill with the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Flexible/adaptable to change.


This position has an annualized rate of pay that may range from $ $26.52 per hour and is based on a number of factors which may include position level, internal equity and market location, and may also vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Associates are also eligible for a potential annual performance award (bonus), based on annual individual and company performance.
