Job Summary
The primary goal of this role is to acquire and enhance the skills of a Pharmacist while pursuing a Pharmacy school education. All tasks must be carried out under the guidance of a licensed Pharmacist.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process customer and prescription details, including refill requests, from clients and medical offices.
- Fill customer prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with physicians and utilize resources to gather information on customers and prescriptions, addressing any arising issues.
- Familiarize yourself with Rite Aid's computer systems to input customer and prescription data accurately.
- Provide timely service in the Pharmacy area by aiding customers and managing the register.
- Offer assistance to customers on medical-related matters and deliver healthcare guidance.
- Stay informed about over-the-counter medications.
- Review and comprehend company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the Pharmacy department by ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Support with cycle counts, inventory documentation, and customer notifications.
- Perform quality assurance responsibilities in line with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) and enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program are essential.
- Possession of an Ohio Pharmacy intern license is mandatory.
