Description
Group Leaders are responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and primary instruction of an age-specific groups. Group Leaders/Program Aides provide the primary link between participants, their caregivers, and the after-school program.


Their responsibilities include:

  • Monitor small groups of children during arrival, dismissal, and supper;
  • Prepare and conduct engaging activities for small groups:
  • conduct remote learning activities as deemed necessary based on health department guidelines for program activities;
  • Provide homework assistance, tutoring and supervision of special projects;
  • Prepare lesson plans for inperson and remote learning program activities;
  • Provide accurate assessment of progress, encouragement and feedback to students;
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, supporting documentation in compliance with health and safety regulations, and encourage greater participation among students who fail to attend regularly;
  • Use proper and prudent judgment regarding participant health and safety;
  • Prepare students for culminating events;
  • Supervise students on field trips and other special events;
  • Guide students in ongoing science, social studies, art enrichment and club activities;
  • Work as a part of a team to implement curriculum activities;
  • Participate in bimonthly staff meetings and other training activities;
  • Engage in daily communication with students, parents and community members;
  • Ensure students maintain social distancing and properly use PPE;
  • Monitor bathroom usage ot program participants;
  • Distribute and clean procram supplies and equipment;
- conduct daily health screenine of participants. statt and visitors;

  • Assist with the distribution of program meals;
  • Escort students during arrival and dismissal;
- clean commonly used classroom surtaces (e.g. keyboards, desks, remote controls) before and after use;

  • Lead and participate in program activities inperson and remotely;
  • Conduct parent outreach, including wellness calls;
  • Support the Program Director in ensuring the program is a safe and healthy environment for participants;
  • Ensure program activities and student interaction are in compliance with safety plan and guidance from federal, state and local governments related to communicable diseases.

From $20.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift

Experience:


  • Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
