Job Summary

This position will work with the HEI Programs. The Higher Education Initiatives (HEI) department houses many of IIE's self-funded special initiatives and programs.

This department has a dynamic and entrepreneurial portfolio which includes IIE's memberships and consortia, awards and prizes, events and other convenings, and IIE publications.


HEI also oversees IIE's two Centers of Excellence:
the IIE Center for International Partnerships and the IIE Center for Access and Equity.


The Operations and Program Analyst contributes to the HEI department's strategic operations and business development through analytics and reporting and program support.

It requires comprehensive administrative and analytical skills to ensure the success of the department's goals.

The team member in this position will leverage and foster their technical and writing skills for data analysis to connect relevant information to business interests, as well as recommend enhancements and efficiencies.


Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates operations and processes for HEI programs and initiatives, working closely with team management to achieve departmental goals.
  • Develop and document operational best practices for HEI
  • Collect, maintain, and analyze data for HEI programs, surveys and initiatives, leading effective data management and practices.
  • Prepare data to contribute to reports and communicate relevant information and trends to enhance programmatic delivery in clear and visually appealing ways.
  • Provide relevant data and information to support new and existing business opportunities, thought leadership publications, and other written materials.
  • Assist in the organization and communication of activities, webinars, events, and meetings.
  • Contribute programmatic content in virtual and inperson presentations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of related work experience, or combination education and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proven ability to interpret and work with data for reporting purposes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with database management and use.
  • Familiarity with program management and coordination.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Background in international education or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience with alumni network building and event coordination is preferred
