Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading and coordinating the financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions of the company, as well as overseeing the accounting team.

The CFO ensures that company accounting procedures comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop the strategic plan and ensure its execution.

Supervise the daily operations of the finance and accounting department.

Manage the month-end close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.

Develop and maintain annual budgets and multi-year forecasts, and analyze budget/forecast variances and financial trends.

Establish effective internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

Monitor financial covenants of debt agreements, prepare quarterly compliance reports, and maintain relationships with lenders.

Support the CEO's leadership team meetings, monthly operating reviews with private equity investors, and quarterly business reviews with the Board of Directors.

Oversee the preparation of official annual financial reports.

Manage financial audits and recommend procedural improvements.

Provide analysis and insight on business trends, financial statements, and key performance metrics, and assist in evaluating acquisitions or strategic initiatives as directed.

Serve as the onsite HR representative and access outside expertise as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably with some operations experience.

Experience with HR duties such as employee relations.

Previous work in a small company with a willingness to perform tasks outside of the job description.

Success in a high-growth environment, ideally with a private equity-backed business.

Ability to be a strategic partner to the CEO.

Strong sense of urgency with a focus on results, while holding others accountable.

Previous CFO title not required, but must possess the skillset to fulfill the role.

Pay:
$180, $200,000.00 per year
