    Job brief

    • We are looking for a FULL-TIME reliable Dispatcher to act as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency service calls. You will reach out to and receive requests from clients. You will transmit messages to and from both clients and technicians and keep track of technician schedules and make sure clients needs are met.
    • The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and be able to remain calm and composed, especially in busy situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with near zero supervision.
    • The ideal candidate will have a great memory
    • The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.
    • This position starts as a work from home position but may eventually move into an office environment.
    • This position is commission only to start. We will walk you through the steps to take to help you gain ground in the first 30 days. There will be an hourly wage to cover you while you learn, but you must learn to make your commissions

    Responsibilities

    • Receive emergency and non-emergency calls or emails and record significant information
    • Search out clients who need I.T. services in specified areas
    • Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
    • Receive and dispatch orders for products or deliveries
    • Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
    • Use a computer to receive and prepare work orders by sending technicians to appropriate locations
    • Oversee all communications within a specifically assigned territory
    • Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
    • Provide field units with information about orders, obstacles, and requirements
    • Enter data in a computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
    • Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
    • Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications and relay that to the specified technician.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position
    • Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant methods (willing to learn)
    • Fast typing with experience in data entry
    • Able to learn procedures and guidelines and implement them
    • Proficient in English (oral and written), not textese
    • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
    • Active listener with excellent communication skills
    • Sound judgement and critical thinking
    • High school diploma
