Electrical Design Engineer

MEP Engineering- Electrical Design- Consulting Engineering-EIT-PE

Our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering firm is actively seeking to add an Electrical Engineer (either EIT or PE) to the team for a full-time permanent staff opportunity. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for delivering quality electrical system design across a variety of market sectors including commercial, healthcare, and higher education. This position is open due to organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare concept, schematic design, design development and construction documents
Conduct code research and incorporate applicable requirements into the design
Conduct material research and compile project data for the project
Prepare project specifications
Develop conceptual designs
Equipment selection
Preparation of electrical models and calculations
Preparation of design drawings, specifications, and control sequences of operation
During project construction carrying out submittal reviews, making construction site visits and observing system start-ups
Interact closely with company staff and mgmt., and clients

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
Three (3) or more years of electrical MEP design experience preparing engineering calculations and project drawings
PE license a plus
Project experience in Education, Corporate/Commercial Office, Healthcare or related a plus
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP
Resourceful team player possessing strong planning, organizational, and communication skills

Salary Range - $80K - $115k+, plus benefits and bonuses; commensurate with experience
