Media and Information Services Specialist, Library Specialization*

You will conduct research in databases and networks. You enjoy acquiring and organizing new media, and are communicative and provide friendly customer service: as a media and information services specialist, specializing in libraries.

Training Content

Your main tasks include acquiring, organizing, and processing media. You will also learn how to competently prepare and provide information for others.

Requirements

Recommended education: secondary school, high school diploma, or equivalent.
You have a strong sense of organization, are eager to learn, and can imagine working extensively with computers.
Other important qualities include: good German language skills, reliability, conscientiousness, openness, and sociability.

Start and Duration of Training

The training begins annually on September 1st and lasts for 3 years.

A midterm exam will be taken in the second year of training.

The training ends with a final exam.

The practical training takes place mainly at the Aalen City Library.
