    Description

    This position is responsible for providing psychotherapy and medication evaluation and management to a range of clients having mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and substance abuse disorders regionally.

    The position also provides evaluation, treatment planning and discharge planning services for consumers in NWCSB psychiatric facilities and those being diverted from state hospital admissions.

    Licensure in Virginia as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy (Board Certified or Board Eligible) required
    A minimum of two years of experience working with persons who have serious mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and/or substance abuse disorders required
    May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases
    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
