_ Position Summary:
_


Recommends and/or implements regional and divisional pricing strategies (customer and product/category) that drive margin enhancement, customer pricing, sales and vendor agreements for assigned division, in alignment with overall North American pricing strategies.

Perform margin analysis, reporting, and the Exception Pricing Request (EPR) Process. Works with and supports divisional teams, regional merchandising teams, Home Office, Suppliers/Brokers.


_ Essential Functions:
_


  • Manages and processes exception pricing requests.
  • Executes accurate and timely implementation of sales and purchasing agreements, collaborating with Regional Merchandising Managers, Divisional Teams and other internal customers as needed.
  • Collaborates with vendor and broker community specific to customer contracts.
  • Coordinates direct customer rebates from the vendor through brokers to include processing paperwork through cost buyers and bill backs in finance.
  • Responsible for initial implementation of contract pricing and ongoing review and maintenance of existing contract pricing, ensuring all pricing is aligned correctly with contract agreement. (This includes deletion of pricing for nonvalid contracts).
  • Supports divisional bid type activity as needed.
  • Responsible for the organization and maintenance of all paperwork and backup documentation related to pricing, customer contracts, chargeback and bid activity.
  • Provides a level of expertise for the Regional Merchandising Teams and Divisional Teams, regarding price analysis, cost analysis and net pricing inquiries, as needed.
  • Analyzes margin weakness, subgroup weakness, item movement, and profitability, in collaboration with Divisional teams and Regional Merchandising teams.
  • Supports product pricing strategies in collaboration with the Regional Merchandising Managers and the North American Price Team.
  • Provides reporting and analysis of promotional item movement and profitability.
  • Provides training on pricing to Divisional and Regional Teams as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

_ What you'll bring to the table:_

  • Mathematical skills with the ability to calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, averages, proportions, percentages, etc.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and 10key pad at high, accurate pace.
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write routine reports and electronic correspondence and ability to speak effectively in front of internal customers, suppliers or colleagues, both via phone and through face to face conversations.
  • Attention to processes and detail and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Skill in self management and task prioritization, accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments and reacts well under pressure and fluctuations in workload.
