- Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications for vertical construction projects.
- General Contract and Subcontract administration
- Construction Scheduling P6 or Microsoft Project
- Maintain control of all project documentation
- Create, manage and track RFI's from the field to the architect/engineer of record
- Maintain/update project records
- Assist the project manager/superintendent in creating and distributing the project schedule
- Turn in submittals from subcontractors to A/E for approval
- Assist project manager/owner in getting permits for the project
- Material & Equipment - procurement and expediting
- Shop drawing and submittal review and coordination
- Project cost review with project manager, reporting, updating, and accounting
- Review and processing of subcontractor invoices and payments
- Participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings
- Some supervision and coordination of subcontractors' field installations
- Change order documentation and associated cost reporting and maintenance
- Project Closeout
- Helps administer project budgets and fiscal controls, contracts, and quality control provisions
- Performs project cost estimating and value engineering as appropriate
- Some travel will be required in support of other projects
- Tracking of files and project documents
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Must be able to interpret construction drawings and communicate construction requirements to site construction superintendent and crew
- Ability to pass a background check and/or obtain and maintain government security clearance
- Some positions may require U.S. Citizenship
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record, able to drive company vehicle
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and databases such as Access and PowerPoint
- Able to perform in BlueBeam and Adobe Acrobat
- Adept at explaining technical aspects of field work to internal and external clients verbally and in writing
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of working experience in construction, environmental, or engineering design, specialized training, and/or advanced degree such as MS may be substituted for work experience
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of working experience in construction, environmental, or engineering design, specialized training, and/or advanced degree such as MS may be substituted for work experience
- Experience in Federal Government vertical projects highly desired
- USACE Quality Control experience highly desired
- Estimating and Cost Control experience

- Reaching with hands and arms for items above and below sight level, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth, color perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place within the project location with occasional use of stairs and no elevator available; bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for up to 12 hours.

Summary:The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager, Site Superintendent, and other Field Representatives in managing the construction of the project, working in conjunction with other Staff to ensure quality and timeliness of project construction and completion. The salary range for this position is $93,089/year-$134,638/year, please note this is a tiered position.
