Job Overview:
We are a chiropractic office located in the Tysons Corner area.
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our chiropractic office.
Your primary responsibilities will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and providing excellent customer service to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect copays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update patient information as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Maintain cleanliness/organization of the front desk and waiting area
- Provide administrative support to the doctors as needed
Skills/Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity and basic understanding of health insurance terminology
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines
Working Conditions/Hours:
The Medical Receptionist will work in a medical office setting and may be required to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
This position is part-time, ranging from 15-25 hours a week.Job Type:
