Summary/Objective
Assist direct supervisor with the coordination of daily work activities. Supervise field crew while supervisor is not on job site or absent.


Essential Function

  • Ensure work crew has the proper tools, training, equipment, and materials to perform daily tasks.
  • Assist with daily required paperwork such as JSA's, work permits, and equipment inspection forms.
  • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
  • Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety to ensure that specifications are met.
  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment.
  • Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
  • Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs.
  • Obtains required permits and licenses; executes construction contracts according to terms of agreement.
  • Analyze worker or production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
  • Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, or company policies.
  • Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.
  • Aid workers engaged in construction or extraction activities, using hand tools or other equipment.
  • Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery in supervisors' absence.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Requirements:


Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • 5 years of more in construction and industrial services

Work Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Frequent sitting, walking and direct customer service interaction.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawl.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
