Summary/Objective
Assist direct supervisor with the coordination of daily work activities. Supervise field crew while supervisor is not on job site or absent.

Essential Function

Ensure work crew has the proper tools, training, equipment, and materials to perform daily tasks.
Assist with daily required paperwork such as JSA's, work permits, and equipment inspection forms.
Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety to ensure that specifications are met.
Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment.
Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs.
Obtains required permits and licenses; executes construction contracts according to terms of agreement.
Analyze worker or production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, or company policies.
Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.
Aid workers engaged in construction or extraction activities, using hand tools or other equipment.
Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery in supervisors' absence.
Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma preferred.
5 years of more in construction and industrial services

Work Conditions/Physical Demands

Frequent sitting, walking and direct customer service interaction.
Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawl.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
