The Role at a Glance

  • We are excited to add an
    Actuary to our Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Risk Management team to work remotely to help us develop a new pricing model. In this role, you will help build, enhance, and maintain a retirement pricing system from first principles. We are seeking a retirement pricing actuary who can help create transformative change by merging the latest technology with the timeless principles of finance. You will also be responsible for managing smaller projects as part of a larger collaborative master plan.
    What you'll be doing
  • Project Execution: Responsible for endtoend project execution, from understanding the business challenge to model prototyping and deployment, while effectively communicating with stakeholders and crossfunctional partners
  • Coding: Responsible for building out components of code, verifying accuracy and compliance with best practices, and thoroughly documenting the work
  • Collaborating: Heart of a teacher willing to share knowledge to help educate others while also being an autonomous individual contributor
  • Assumption Setting: Leading the development of new predictive and dynamic assumptions, documenting the approach taken, and presenting the results to stakeholders for review and approval
  • Communicating: Effectively communicates with internal stakeholders and management with the ability to deep dive in technical conversations while also able to relate information to nontechnical audiences

_What you will be using:
_


  • Python: Basis for pricing model, specifically utilizing pyspark package
  • Visual Studio: For developing and reviewing code.
  • Excel: for testing and development (building out sample calculations).
  • Dataiku: hosting the production version of the model, the user interface, and the upstream/downstream connections.

What we're looking for

  • Musthaves:_
  • 5+ years of experience in work that aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • FSA or career ASA
  • Pricing model creation and governance
  • 4 Year/bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (ex. physics, mathematics, finance, computer science, statistics, actuarial science, and engineering)
  • Nicetohaves:_
  • Comfortable working with and building functional, dynamic code for reusability and scalability within interconnected systems
  • Strong objectoriented programming skills (Python preferred) and Git (branching, committing, pull requests, etc.
  • Comfortable working independently or collaboratively on a variety of projects and requests
  • Passion for problemsolving and a willingness to be persistent
  • Retirement product and general insurance knowledge

    Pay Range: $90,300 $164,700


Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.

The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees.

In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.

Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
