Job Description Summary:
Grand Rapids is the headquarters for GE Aerospace's North American Avionics division. A variety of avionics and other military electronics equipment are designed, built, and repaired at the site.


As an Electrical Analyzer & Tester you will use your thorough understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor circuits to fault isolate defective product down to a component level on a circuit board.

Once the faulty components have been identified, you will communicate with repair operators to have them replace the defective items.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Support and promote a safe work environment.
  • Ensure product compliance and quality.
  • Read and understand technical documentation such as schematic diagrams and parts lists, procedures, and specifications.
  • Fault isolate class 3 electronics systems and circuit card assemblies to a circuit card component level using a variety of custom equipment as generalpurpose test instruments (digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, phase angle voltmeters and automated test equipment).
  • Document defective components identified and communicate required rework to repair operators.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings as well as continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain records of work performed in digital tools.

Eligibility Requirements:


  • Associate degree in an electronics technology discipline from an accredited university or college
OR

  • High School Diploma / GED with two years of technical experience in testing and troubleshooting of highly technical electronic products which could include military electronics experience (i.e., A school, I level depot technician).

AND

  • Successfully complete and pass preemployment electronic principles test, covering component identification and digital and analog circuit analysis.

Desired Qualifications/Characteristics:


  • Work under mínimal supervision by being motivated and a selfstarter
  • Possess a thorough understanding of analog and digital circuits
  • Experience using hand tools for electronics disassembly and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of IPC 610 & J-STD soldering specifications
  • Basic understanding of embedded software
  • Familiar with Electric Static Discharge (ESD) precautions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and PDF Viewers
  • Keen attention to detail
  • This role requires access to U.S. exportcontrolled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. exportcontrolled information from the U.S. Government._
