A highly successful Electrical contractor in Escondido area is looking for a project coordinator with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills with experience in the commercial/industrial construction industry.
Position:
Project Coordinator
Location:
North San Diego County
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for all project coordination and administrative functions associated with the construction projects.
All responsibilities must be done in a timely manner with accuracy and efficiency- Assist Project Management team in managing a construction project's process and procedures
- Assist the Project Managers in the drafting and issuance of project proposals RFP's, tenders, budgets and preliminary schedules
- Manage communication regarding approaching project deadlines
- Assist with challenges in the field per Project Managers direction
- Obtain project submittal documents as required
- Obtain project close out documents as required
- Maintain contract and project execution tracking log
- Manage all project's logistics as directed by the project managers
- Communicate with Client's construction team
- Provide support to upper management where needed
- Ensure Client's needs are met in a timely, cost effective, customer serviceoriented manner
- Knowledge of Preliminary Notices required
- Knowledge of Lien releases required
- Knowledge of insurance required
- Accounts payable entry with job costing
- Accounts receivable billing & collections
- Subcontract & purchase order administration
- Process job cost change orders
- Proficient in Excel, Word & Outlook
- Perform other duties as assigned
Additional requirements for Project Coordinator role include:
- 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry supporting Project Managers
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
