Description

The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools (FLCPS) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), charitable education foundation which enhances and enriches the quality of public education in Lee County for students and educators.

The Foundation's programs, resources, and experiences are made possible through corporate, individual, and educational partnerships.


The Foundation's College & Career Center (C3) supports students by preparing them for post-secondary education, technical training, and entering the workforce.

This facility, on the Foundation campus, offers assistance through workshops and resources, and aims to support students in their pursuit of academic success.

It is supported by our business community through participation and guidance in monthly workshops and student mentoring.

  • Working with students and their families to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and student scholarships.
  • Help with resiliency efforts through the PeertoPeer Mentoring and #LeeListens initiatives.
  • Meeting with students at a variety of settings including schools, the Foundation office and community partner locations.
  • Working and coordinating with District staff including teachers, counselors, career specialists, administrators, and others to accomplish the shared goal of assisting student success through our various programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinating and directing after hour workshops and other activities/events
  • Working with other FLCPS staff as directed and needed.

Other Duties:


  • Some lifting and other physical activity as needed.
  • Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.
  • Availability to work occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bilingual
  • Experience working in an education setting
  • Experience working in college and career planning

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous tasks within set deadlines.
  • Strong time management skills, writing skills and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills both orally and written.
  • Proficient computer skills, but not limited to: Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a good rapport with students, parents, district staff and community business leaders.
  • Ability to input data, problem solve and analyze data.
  • Ability to present effectively to small and large groups.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team.

Pay:
$40,000.00 per year
